Is the brain dead?

I believe it is a true statement that I have worked every day since the first of the month, well first of the year actually, since it is January after all…

I woke up early this morning, I’ve reached the point that feels like I have been driving for 12 hours straight and you get out of the car and you still feel like the world is moving… I can’t make the world stop moving, but I don’t have to go to “work” today and my brain does not seem to want to deal with it.

Well, saying I don’t have to go to work is a bit misleading.  I am trying to catch up on all the things that slipped while I was buried in 12 and 16 hours days, and not necessarily doing well at catching up.

On my list of things to do is a list of things at my daughter’s house, unbury my desk, pay the bills (hoping I didn’t miss any over the last few weeks), and then there are the projects around the house in half finished states, and those that are just in the starting state, like the built in surround for the fireplace that I somehow managed to start in spite of Mama Bears ban on any new major projects…

Demo done, construction begun...

Demo done, construction begun…

Seriously, I get told no new major projects until everything is done and we can live in peace for a while, and in mounting the new TV, guess what I managed to start?
